SAMWISE SORA EASA

SAMWISE now integrates the EASA version of SORA to support the European drone operators carrying out their risk assessments in compliance with the EU drone Regulation. Free video lessons and webinar coming soon.

In 2019, EASA endorsed with some changes the Specific Operation Risk Assessment (SORA) developed by the working group SRM of JARUS as Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) to fulfil the requirements of the European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 expressed in Article 11. Now, to provide an assessment compliant with this regulation, SAMWISE supports also the EASA version of SORA, to further help European drone operators in their assessments.

«We are excited to welcome the new EASA version of SAMWISE since from this moment on we are finally able to carry out the drone risk assessment in compliance with the EASA regulation» states Matteo Natale, Product Manager of SAMWISE.

For non-European clients, SAMWISE will still apply the JARUS methodology. The new EASA SORA methodology, instead, will be available by default for all users that will select an EASA member state as their flight location. In this way, SAMWISE will be able to assist all of its users in conducting their drone operation risk assessment to obtain the authorization from their competent civil aviation authority, in compliance with the applicable regulations.

FREE VIDEO LESSONS

Starting from 25th October, each Monday SAMWISE will publish on Youtube a short video-lesson on “How to use SAMWISE” in order to guide step-by-step the users in each phase of the risk analysis process. At the end of this video series, Matteo Natale, Safety and compliance engineer at EuroUSC Italia, will hold a free webinar demonstrating the overall SAMWISE functioning through the simulation of the risk analysis of a Specific operation in a real scenario.

Watch the SAMWISE video series on the EuroUSC Italia YouTube channel and visit SAMWISE at www.online-sora.com.
